Spalding County Parks and Recreation
Welcome!
Welcome to the Spalding County Parks and Recreation Web site! We strive to provide excellent parks and recreation services to the citizens of Spalding County and beyond.

We offer you award winning parks, programs and special events and this web site should help you access the information you need so you and your family can enjoy the benefits of our services.

Our Parks and Recreation system comprises of 450 acres with 16 parks offering a multitude of programming for all ages! If youth sports is what you love then check out the programs offered by our Youth Associations including: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Soccer and Swimming. These volunteer organizations get parents involved in their child's favorite sport! If Youth Football is what you are looking for check out this program offered by my department. There are many affordable opportunities for youth to stay active and develop skills and a life long love for sports.

You are never too old to enjoy recreation and our senior adults know it and prove it every day as they dance, play, exercise, travel and compete at our very active Senior Center!

There is something for everyone at Spalding County Parks and Recreation and we have just the staff to keep you coming back for more! My staff is experienced, energetic, creative and eager to provide you with the best possible recreation experience. Whether strolling through Ernie's Trail at Wyomia Tyus Park and looking for wild life, striving to reach a personal fitness goal on one of our walking trails, or creating a beautiful ceramic piece you will benefit from the labor of a dedicated and skilled staff of which I am  so proud. Quality classes are offered by some of the most skilled in their craft offering dance classes in Hip Hop, Ballet, Clogging, Line Dancing, and more!

Keeping you active and healthier is our goal and yet another way we contribute to the health of our community is by providing what our youth need through free grant funded programs held throughout the year at our community centers.

There really is so much to say about our services and so little space on this page! Please take time to look at our services and feel free to contact me or my staff if you have any questions, suggestions or need our assistance at 770-467-4750.

Sincerely,

Louis Greene, Director
T.J. Imberger, APRP, Parks Superintendent
Kelly Leger, CPRP, Recreation Superintendent
