Summer Day Camp 2010

Spalding County Parks and Recreation Day Camp...where a kid can be a kid!

This year Spalding County Parks and Recreation will offer a 6 week Summer Day Camp Program for children ages 5 to 12.
Each child will enjoy a fun filled camp supervised by a creative and energetic staff!

Dates for the 2010 camps are June 7-July 16
Camp will be closed on July 5th for Independence Day holiday
Day Camp hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

There is no registration/processing fee for our camp!
Cost is $40.00 for the first week and includes a camp t-shirt
Weekly fee is just $35.00 for each week following.

The first week of camp will still have an additional $5.00 fee to cover the cost of the camp t-shirt for a total of $40.00  Weeks following will only be $35.00.  Fees include breakfast, lunch, snacks, swimming, crafts, activities, local trips, and more!   Families already enrolled in the program will receive a credit of $15.00 for the next week's camp.  For more information, please call Parks and Recreation at 770 467 4750.

FREE MEALS THIS SUMMER!

Breakfast and lunch is provided through the USDA Summer Food program managed by Spalding County Parks and Recreation. It is a grant funded program which provides nutritional meals to children while school is not in session.
Spalding County continues to exhibit its commitment to excellence as it provides this service to the community.

USDA Summer Food Program Meals are provided to all children ages 2-18 without charge. Meals will be served for the weeks beginning June 7-July 16, 2010 excluding July 1-July 5. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows:

Parks and Recreation Program sites:

City Park Gym:   Breakfast 8am-9am and Lunch 12pm-2pm
Fairmont Gym:   Breakfast 8am-9am and Lunch 12pm-2pm
AMBUCS Gym   Lunch only 11:30am-1:30pm                                                                                                                 
UGA Griffin Campus:   Lunch only 11:45am-1:45pm (ends July 9)          

Parks and Recreation also makes it possible for meals to be served at these additional sites in the community:

Community Ministries:   Breakfast 8am-9am and Lunch 12pm-2pm
New Birth Fellowship of Praise:   Breakfast 8am-9am and Lunch 12pm-2pm
Northside Hills Apartments   Lunch only 11:30am-1:30pm
Griffin High School:   Lunch 10:30am-12:30 pm (June 7-July 16)

Mt. Zion Baptist Church:   Lunch only 11:30am-1:30 pm (June 7-June 11)                    
Pine Hill Apartments:   Lunch only 11:30 am-1:30 pm
