CLINICS RESUME!

The Spalding County Pickleball Association will resume our program of teaching the sport of Pickleball on Saturday, January 13th. We have evaluated the effectiveness of our clinics and have decided to make a few changes to our program, as outlined below:

We will conduct Learn to Play (LTP) clinics each Saturday, weather permitting, beginning January 13th. These clinics will begin two hours before the announced Open Play start time. During the winter months the clinics will begin at 11:00 am.

Beginners and Novices only are allowed to participate in the initial LTP sessions. Therefore, those that have already participated in a LTP clinic will not be allowed to attend another one.

We are establishing an Open Play sessions for Beginners and Novices. These sessions will coincide with the "competitive" Open Play sessions on Saturdays, but will be held on Courts 13-16. During the winter months the open play sessions will begin at 1:00 pm.

Players that have participated in several of the Open Play sessions will then be allowed to attend the Initial Tactics session. These sessions will be announced at a later date.

Many of you have asked about paddles, balls and perhaps other merchandise. Beginning January 13th we will have several PaddleTek demo paddles available for you to try out. These paddles will cover a range of styles and weights and should help you zero in on one that you like. If so, we can make arrangements to order one if you wish. Also, we will also begin selling the ONIX Pure 2 balls on the 13th, and other merchandise at a later date.

Reservations are not required and we welcome all who wish to learn how to play this fun, addictive activity that is the most rapidly growing recreational sport in the country.
